Parking for West Country Hammers
After parking at Hammersmith's Kingsway Multi Storey for years for about £14 for 9 hrs, I got stung for £30 for 6 hours + last Saturday . Their excuse is that they want to put off long term parking.
Can anyone recommend decent parking Richmond, Ealing way?

Burnham,
I regularly drive up from weston and always park at Hammersmith.
just past the multi story on the left is a pub called the Dartmouth Castle and I usually park up that road.
It's metered Monday-Friday but not on weekends and I've never had any trouble at all there.
failing that get on the m25 for 1 junction and head for Ickenham where you can jump on the central line at West Ruislip and go straight through to Stratford.

I always park my Bentley in Richmond by paying the local riff raff several hundred pounds.

I was up for the Watford game last Saturday. It sounds far out but if you are coming up the M3 then you can park at Guildford station for a fiver and then get the overland train to Waterloo (only stopped at Woking) Train only took 30 mins and didnt have to drive into London at all. Can get the Jubilee line from Waterloo straight to Stratford.

I was back in Guildford by 1815

Turnham Green on the District line used to be largely unrestricted parking near to the station and not far from the end of the M4 from the west

Richmond is a decent shout but for the district line being painfully slow.

I would go with logo's suggestion. Osterley is easy to get to just off M4, cheapest parking and Piccadilly line, change Holborn Central line to Stratford. Next stop Boston Manor may also be an option, depending to parking?

Marty - watch yourself in there. A colleague had his laptop bag stolen from under his table, while in there last year. Fortunately his laptop wasn't in there, at the time, nor his wallet.

I would also add that the Railway Tavern next to the train station at Richmond was very good for a pint and dinner after the game, and only an hour from the stadium on the over ground. £7 return train ticket. Not bad!!

Used to park up outside Acton town station free of charge down the sidestreets that game is long gone

nowadays mind now it's always just the train from Swindon pretty decent with a group saver because it includes underground ticket as well

Osterley is a good shout because it's only five minutes off the M4 - plenty of tube stops mind

Re: Parking for West Country Hammers
You can try Osterley Underground Station

All day prices:

Saturday - £2.00
Sunday - £1.50

Easy to get to off the M4 as saves driving further into the city.

Martyboy - you can use the Ring Go app in the Old Deer Car park, which would alleviate the need for a bucket of £1 coins.

Re: Parking for West Country Hammers
If you can find somewhere round Ealing then it's quick on the Central to Stratford.

Failing that could try Reading or Didcot and then get a train into Paddington from there.

If you get a Network Rail Card you get a decent discount each time you travel.

Old Deer Car Park Richmond (council) £9 for 6 hours, under 10 minutes walk to Richmond train/tube station. £12 if over six hours (up to 24). Max stay is limited to 6 hours for Sundays, no restrictions rest of week.

NCP at Richmond station, £13 up to 6 hours, £19 over 6, up to 24. Spaces pre - bookable.

Both car parks regularly used by visitors to my office, never any problems re damage/security to vehicle.
